My son is turning 13 and having his Bar Mitzvah. He will have the normal invitation for the Bar Mitzvah but we wanted a separate card to go into the main invitation that talks about the evening party.
The party is happening at a club where fairly large musician acts play. The theme of the party is "just jake" (may need to play with capitalization as well as space in between or period in between 'just' and 'jake'). Meaning its about all the things that Jake loves to do since its his party. But ultimately he wants others to be themselves and his shirts at the party will say "just.be.you". The theme will bring about the things Jake loves to do but the invitation should have a bit of a club, party feel to it.
When I asked my son what he wants on the invitation, he mentions the concept of a silhouette of soccer player kicking a ball with the things he loves to do maybe inside the player, hanging on the player or all around the player. Another idea is the silhouette of a boy in a hoodie (back of him) instead of a soccer player. On back of hoodie it could say "just jake" with hands out (holding the things he likes).
He loves bright, neon colors and since the party is at a club, the contrast of dark on neon is something of interest. Neon blue is most of interest as it will match the invitation since the invitation has some brighter (light) blue.
As I mentioned the theme name is "Just Jake" so those words in cool writing should be seen with clarity in the invitation. The things that Jake likes include (but don't need to include all):
- Fishing / Fish
- Animals (Yellow Parakeet)
- Candy (Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids)
- Baking Brownies
- Music (Rap)
- MN Wild Hockey
- Hanging with Friends
- Helping Others
We will also need a place on the card that will say:
Join Jake for Dinner and Dancing...
Date (Make up date for now)
Time (Make up time for now)
Location (Make up location for now)
Address of Location (Make up address for now)
Attire (you can say "Funky Club Attire")
The invitation should be 4.5 x 6.5
