Embla Original (new product name) is a household compost using a patented method of inserting the compost material. Our target audience has historically been gardening interested middle age and up people (mostly 40+). We have many "older" customers who has had previous models for 10-15 years and now look to replace it, but we want to start targeting a younger audience aswell. We believe that a new generation, let's call them "gardening hipsters", who are interested in organic growing and reducing food waste, would also be a good target group for us.

Inspiration de design
We are more expensive than most of our competitors and it's important that our brand emphasises our care for high quality, but we don't want it to feel like a luxury product. We also think it would be good if the logo somewhat explained what's unique about our compost - hence the slogan "Bottomfed Household Compost". Our current webpage (although to be replaced as soon as we get a new graphic profile) - http://emblakitchen.se/. On the new webpage we will work alot more with pictures (think gardening magazine) and try to create an inviting and inspiring nature/garden/growing-look. We believe that a slightly more classic or even retro look would fit us better than a too modern and abstract logo, but we are open for suggestions. It's important it works as a plain white version on a photography. We are also planning to have the logo on a metal badge on the compost, or burned on the wood, so too tiny details are probably not a good idea. We are planning to make the compost in three different colors next year so don't think too much about the green we use now. :-) Attaching pictures of how the compost looks, some logos we find interesting and an example of pictures/atmosphere that could be on the new webpage.
