Description du livre
(Not the actual blurb, a summary so you can get a feel for the book.) In the medieval Kingdom of Algar, peace reigns until one day, the dark wizard Devin, the only wizard seen in the kingdom for hundreds of years, murders him in order to take over the throne. Prince Caspian, King Richard's only son, has a mental breakdown, giving Devin the perfect excuse to convince his cousin Ryland, distant relative to the king and the next in line for the throne, to take over the kingdom. During the fight back and forth for the kingdom, Ryland banishes Caspian and brands him on the face with Algar's royal symbol. Caspian in turn joins forces with foreign wizards and brings back magic to Algar in an effort to regain his throne.
Young adults, all genders.

Besoins de design
There are two people on the cover. On the left side is Caspian, on the right is Ryland. Caspian is holding a sword, looking somewhat desperately at Ryland on the right. He doesn’t look angry, he simply looks concerned and a little sad. He doesn't want to fight Ryland but he has to. He has very light blond hair and crystal blue eyes, and is white. He’s 17 years old. Somewhere through his hair is a strand of pure black. It doesn’t really matter where, but it should look cool. It's just a dyed section. On his right cheek is a brand mark. (His left if you're looking straight at him.) It’s a symbol burned there from a poker. The lines of the symbol are a dark brown, almost black. Immediately outside of those lines, the skin is a darker brown than his normal skin tone. Outside of that, his skin is red and inflamed. You can play around with the colors if you want, but the scar should stand out from his face very clearly, and the shape of the symbol should be very distinct. The symbol is a royal seal for a kingdom. It is circular in shape. The center of the symbol contains the image of a European dragon, surrounded by a circle. Outside of that circle is a line of runes that curve around the inner circle. Surrounding the entire thing is the outside circle, which is where the seal ends. I’m not thinking anything particular with the runes, they could be random lines even, as long as they look somewhat like you’d expect from runes. If that’s too difficult of a detail to include, it’s fine. Try to get them in there, but the dragon is the most important part. Caspian is a medieval prince. He’s wearing some sort of armor. He might be wearing fancy princely clothes with shiny armor, or he could be wearing shabby clothes and armor. Whichever side you choose, exaggerate it so it’s clear. I don't want him wearing a helmet. Ryland is high ranking lord in the kingdom. He’s 21 years old. He is looking at Caspian with hatred and anger displayed clearly on his face. He's holding a sword with the clear intention of killing Caspian. Ryland has brown hair and brown eyes. A very important feature is a dark strand of skin that runs from his left temple to the right side of his chin. It doesn’t look taunt or rough or anything, it’s simply black skin. Ryland would be wearing trousers and a tunic, black or brown. His eyes could be glowing to make it all seem more magical. It should look like the two of them are fighting, though Caspian is obviously reluctant about it. Neither should have a mustache or a beard, though it is okay if Ryland has a little bit of a shadow of a beard. For the background, there are three options: a forest, a medieval castle, or dark tunnels lit by torches. Whichever you choose, they should look dark overall, to fit the theme of the cover. As it it fantasy, try to make it seem magical. Optional things you could include: Fayre: Ryland's finace. She was accidentally murdered by Caspian (He threw his sword at Ryland and she stepped in the way), which sent Ryland over the edge into evil. She has long, bright red hair and green eyes. She would be wearing some sort of dress, color doesn't matter, but it would be light. If you go this route you could have Ryland holding her as she dies, glaring at Caspian. Devin: Ryland's "cousin." He isn't entirely human. He wears a solid black cloak and has brown hair and brown eyes. He's a dark wizard, completely evil and bent on world domination. He's manipulative and is the reason Ryland turned evil. He could be in the background, encouraging Ryland, commanding his shadow minions, or casting spells. Shadow creatures: These are Devin's family members. They can turn themselves into humans but mostly stay as living shadows. Very powerful, all evil. Humanoid in shape even as shadows. These are guidelines. Mostly I just want both Ryland and Caspian on the cover and for it to be clear that they're fighting in a magical, medieval setting. We have an account at depositphotos.com, so images from there would be preferrable, but not required.

Edward is, without a doubt, the PERFECT DESIGNER! It was such a pleasure to work with him! No matter what change I asked for, no matter how many times I asked him to change things, his response was always "Sure!". I actually started to feel guilty because I was asking for so many minute changes, but it never seemed to bother him. And when I asked for opinions about things I wasn't sure about, he was quick to offer them, and they always made sense. This is my second book cover design, but the first one with 99Designs and the first one that really mattered, and it was really important to me. Edward made the process completely painless. And his skill as a designer is simply amazing! He gets the overall concept straight away, and from there it's simply a matter of fine tuning. I'm already working on the next project with him. Thanks, Edward!!!!
