TITLE: I Count My Life By Sabbaths
AUTHOR NAME: Stephen Schmidt
DIMENSIONS: 6" x 9"
BOOK SUBJECT MATTER:
So this book has "Sabbath" in the title but it's contents are very much JEWISH not CHRISTIAN.
Shabbat, is the Jewish version of Sabbath. The author has suggested a few images to be used for the cover. The main image for Shabbat is 2 candles and a loaf of Challah bread. I will attach a few of these images. The author has explained a few desires that he wants for the cover but I would urge to make your own versions as well to give variety.
An example of what the author wants:
The author has explained that he would like his images to be used (although if you are able to find one that will suit your concept go for it.) With maybe a font that looks like the Torah or yiddish writing. Maybe add some Jewish symbols that are obvious (Star of David)
***it is important that you stick with the main theme of SHABBAT.***
****Description of the book****
From his birth to his death, the author shares an incredible catalogue of memories of his life experiences. The reader will be able to relate to some stories, while finding others rather strange and bizarre. Some narratives will provoke a chuckle, while others will cause misty eyes, as the entire range human emotions and experiences is explored. From infancy to advanced years the author holds little back, often shining a glaring light on his feet of clay. Life lessons learned are freely shared, and at times, the transparency of his life philosophy may actually be beneficial to the reader.
The author offers colorful descriptions of people who wandered in and out of his life, many leaving behind their peculiar brush strokes on the canvas of his life. His sometimes incapacitating struggle with fear and anger will grip the reader as the author pulls back the curtain on his experiences growing up in a preacher’s home and his efforts not to be a repeat violent abuser.
